- Do not use a primer
If you struggle from having acne, or some kinds of skin issues using primer before you put on make-up is really bad. This might sound so weird because everyone always says you should prime your face before putting on make-up. Christie Kidd (Kendall and Kylie Jenner their dermatologist) said that primer blocks out oxygen and clog your pores.
- Avoid BB creams and tinted moisturizers
BB creams and tinted moisturizers are the worst make-up products for your face. The ingredients used for BB creams contain alcohol, silicone, talc, ... basically all the stuff you shouldn't put on your face. Just use a light weighted foundation instead.
- Throw away your clarisonic
Instead of using harsh scrubs with the machine, use gentle cleansers as the brush takes care of the exfoliation. If you use clarisonic and notice your skin getting too shiny, it's because your skin is working in overdrive mode to recover from being stripped. A great replacement (used by Kim Kardashian) is the FOREO face brush.
- Less is more
People tend to put on so many creams, and use so many products that your skin just can't handle. Give you skin some rest. The products you should use are basically cleanser, sunblock, and moisturizer -- and not much else.
I'm obsessed with skin care so let me know if you guys have any questions on your skin type or on products you use.
